APPLICATIONS FOR INSIDE WIREMAN APPRENTICESHIP:
HOW TO QUALIFY
Applications will be available;
Tuesdays in July 10th, 17th, 24th & 31st, 2012 between the hours of
1:00pm & 3:30pm.
Only individuals present on these days and times, with all the
required documents, will be allowed to apply.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* Applicant must provide proof of High School Graduation or the equivalent, or a
2-Year A.A / A.S. degree, or a 4-year B.A. / B.S. degree.
* Applicants must provide a transcript showing proof of having successfully
completed Algebra with a passing grade from:
• One year (2 semesters) of High School or
• One semester of College Algebra or
• Adult Educational Facility
* All diplomas and transcripts must be presented in English when filing the
application. An embossed notary seal on the translated document is required.
* Applicants must be 17 years of age at the time of application. At the time of
selection applicant must be 18 years old with a valid California Drivers License.
* Applicants meeting the minimum requirements will be scheduled for a 2-part
aptitude examination consisting of Reading Comprehension and Mathematics.
* If the applicant passes the written examination, an Oral Interview will be
conducted. The combination score (written and oral interview) will place the
applicant in the pool of eligible candidates.
•The recruitment, selection, employment and training of apprentices during their apprenticeship, shall be without
discrimination because of race, color, religion, national origin, sex or age-except the applicant must meet the
minimum age requirement. The JATC does not and will not discriminate against a qualified individual with a
disability because of the disability of such individual. The sponsor will take affirmative action to provide equal
opportunity in apprenticeship program as required under applicable law and lawful regulations issued there-under.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
* Must be a High School Graduate with a diploma, or the equivalent of a G.E.D.
Proof of diploma or G.E.D. Must be presented in English when filing application.
* Must have a valid CA Driver License at time of indenture, or other photo ID
proof of age and identity.
* Must attend classes as required by the Local and Northern CA/Northern NV S&C
Apprenticeship Committee(s).
* Must abide by standards adopted by Local and Northern CA/Northern NV S&C
Apprenticeship Committee(s).
* Must submit to Aptitude Assessment, Oral Interview, and Substance Abuse
Screening.
APPLICATIONS Proof of High School Diploma or equivalent and identification must
be shown at the time of application. Applications must be filled out by the applicant in
person. Applications may not be taken off premises. (No Exceptions)
